Pulpit to the Pew: All people desperately need the gospel message but they also need a good church where they may faithfully serve the Lord. It is our duty as one of the Lord’s churches to provide both, wherever we are able to do so. (Matt. 28:18-20)

 

Ladies Auxiliary - The ladies will meet on Tuesday night, March 3rd at 6:30 PM in the church fellowship hall. All the ladies are welcome to attend.

 

Missionary Committee Meeting - Our own missionary committee will meet following lunch today.

 

Visiting Missionaries - We are blessed to have both an interstate missionary and a foreign missionary with us today.

Brother Terry Huckabee, Missionary to St. Jacobs, Illinois, will report on their work this morning.

Brother Dan Piper, Missionary to Scotland, will report on their work during the evening service today.

 

 

AWANA/DISCOVERY - We thank the Lord for those dedicated adults that make our Wednesday night youth outreach a success, year after year. There were ninety one present for AWANA and DISCOVERY classes last Wednesday night.

 

 

 

Daylight Savings Time will begin next Sunday. Spring forward one hour before retiring on Saturday night or you’ll be late to church next Sunday!

 

Budd Creek Offering - The Budd Creek special monthly offering will be put off until next Sunday.

 

 

Business Meeting Tonight - Our monthly church conference will follow the evening services today. All of our members are encouraged to help take care of the business of God’s kingdom work.

 

Vacation Bible School Seminar

Our VBS teachers will be attending the Pine Bluff seminar this Saturday, March 7th . The seminar will be held at Olive Branch Baptist Church and is scheduled to run from 9:00 AM until noon. See our VBS director for more details.

 

Pre-Teen Retreat - Christians Under Fire

It is time to register for the Spring PreTeen Retreat. This is the retreat that our church sponsors each year for 9-12 year olds at Budd Creek Baptist Camp. There is a registration list on the vestibule table as well as camp brochures with more information.

 

AYC - Arkansas Youth Conference

It is also time to register for Arkansas Youth Conference. The Youth Conference attracts thousands of our teenagers from American Baptist Association churches all across Arkansas. The event will be held in the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock on April 17-18. You may see Brother Dennis Johnson for more details or there is a poster on the bulletin board.

Sunday Morning            I Corinthians 6:1-11                 8th in series 

  We first looked at divisions in the church, then disciplines and now we turn to disputes.  Instructions are given on how to settle disputes within the church body.  These were minor and could easily have been taken care of within the church.

A Matter Against a Brother

I.   Ignorance of Scripture                  I Cor. 6:1-2

    A. Lack of knowledge can destroy God’s people (Hosea 4:5)

    B. Responsibility of church (Matt. 18:15-18, I Cor. 5:13)

    C. Saints shall judge the world  (Rev. 20:6)

II.  Immature Spiritually                     I Cor. 6:3-4

     A. Know ye not?  Should know better (v 2,3,15,16,19)
