Pulpit to the Pew

A couple of the good short definitions for the word "sin" are; "to miss the mark" and "to cross the line". We can readily grasp the implication of both. Even so, there is another kind of sin. "Therefore, for him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). Does this mean that we sin against God when fail to do the things we know are right? The short answer to that is; Yes.

Lord’s Supper Tonight - Those who are members of Lakeside Missionary Baptist church will have opportunity to participate in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper during the evening services.

Benevolence Pantry - Sister Doris Wallace asks that those who would like to help stock the benevolence pantry to begin now by bringing two cans of non perishable goods each Sunday. The shelves are basically bare this time of year but this plan would stock up the pantry without needing large donations when time is critical.

Budd Creek Offering Today - The Budd Creek special offering will be received following the morning service today.

AWANA/DISCOVERY - We were blessed with ninety two being present for AWANA and DISCOVERY classes last Wednesday evening. Adults not working with AWANA/DISCOVERY are also encourage to come on Wednesday night for the Pastor’s Bible Study.

Sunday Morning I Corinthians 6:12-20 9th in series
