Pulpit to the Pew
Next Sunday is Mother’s Day. This is traditionally one of the most well attended Sunday morning services of the year. Second only to Easter! The only reasonable explanation for this is that mothers are honored by worship and service to God. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed;" (Prov. 31:28a).

Arkansas State Missions Sunday - The first Sunday in May is Arkansas State Missions Day. All of our ABA churches in Arkansas are asked to receive a special offering for the seven state missionaries either on that day or any Sunday in May. Since we already have a special offering (Budd Creek) today, our special offering will be next Sunday.
It should be noted that there are seven full salaried missionaries on the field in Arkansas this year. Because of the increased number of missionaries, we have been paying out $8,000.00 to $9,000.00 more than we take in each month. This can be remedied in the month of May with a good offering from our Arkansas churches for State Missions. The missionaries are…
