Sunday AM Heb 6:7-10 04-14-24
When a person is saved, he becomes a new creation in Christ (II Cor
5:17). Others cannot see it but evidence of this change comes with the
things that accompany salvation. The first act of a Christian should be
to immediately submit to church baptism. The change becomes even
more visible as one studies the Scriptures and develops Christian
characteristics (II Peter 3:18).
Things That Accompany Salvation
I. A Relationship with God Romans 5:1-2
A. Peace has been made where there was hostility (v 1)
B. Justified by faith made peace thru the sacrifice of Jesus
1. God’s righteous demands were satisfied (Isa 53:11)
2. Jesus sacrifice provides the opportunity to know God
C. By faith in Jesus we have gained access (Rom 5:2)
D. Reconciled to God by His cross (Eph 2:16)
1. Accounting term - the books have been settled
2. Fully brought into family of God (Rom 8:16-17)
II. The Resources of Heaven Phil 4:19
A. Supply all your needs, according to His riches
B. God’s blessings on those who serve Him (Heb 6:7-10)
1. God will not forget your labor of love (v 10-11)
2. Warning; Be not slothful, blessings come to the faithful
C. The grace that saved us opened up all resources of heaven
1. Stability from God - security of the believer
2. Strength from God - not have to depend on self
3. Ear of God - come boldly throne of grace (Heb 4:16)
III. The Joy of His Return
A. Joy unspeakable & full of glory for believer (I Peter1:8)
B. Much of rejoicing is in context of 2nd coming of Jesus
C. Worth it all when we see Jesus (I Peter 4:13)
Con. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. (Psalm 68:19)
